We just returned from the Great Western Alpaca Show in Denver, Colorado!

The Great Western Alpaca Show is the largest show in the Western United States. Only the best of the best come to the show and from some of the largest and oldest farms and ranches in the United States.

Over 1,400 alpacas were registered, representing 29 states from across the U.S. Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies utilized more than 200,000 square feet of the complex to host this major alpaca event. In the awe-inspiring Art Deco 400,000 square foot Stadium Arena, the AOBA Level V show is one of the nation's largest alpaca gatherings.

I am honored and excited to know that our ranch and all the New Mexico Alpaca Breeders did so well in this competition. New Mexico is fast becoming one of the most prestigious alpaca breeding states in the country.

We are happy to announce Sagebrush Alpacas came home with a Third, a Fourth and a Sixth Place Ribbons.

Zan, won Third (out of seven) in the White Yearling Male Suri 3" to 9" (fleece) Class, Baryshnikov, took Fourth (out of five) in the White Male Two Year Old and Older and Augusto, landed in Sixth (out of nine) in the Fawn Juvenile Male Suri. These were all very tough classes with so serious

competition and we are extremely happy they ribboned.

OUR NEXT REIGNING PRINCE!

Montano is a healthy, happy little boy who loves to run! Although, his name is Sagebrush Montano, I think it should be Speed Racer. He is just adorable, very intelligent, full of life with a wonderful disposition. The fleece on this cria is white as the driven snow and the luster is beyond belief.

This little boy is the full brother to Zan, who has placed First at the New Mexico State Fair, Second at the Southwest Regional's, in Phoenix and Fourth at The Great Western Alpaca Show, in Denver, Colorado.

I do believe we have another champion herd sire on our hands. He is for sale for $10,000.  Please note his father was AOBA National Champion two years in a row! And his mother produced Valentina, AOBA Color Champion in 2005. His bloodlines are superb! Buy him now while his price is affordable!

Our alpacas come from superb bloodlines and their offspring compete and win at the highest levels. We are known for our high-quality suris, including nationally acclaimed Zanella - two-time AOBA National Champion, Moccacino, and Phoenix, son of MacGyver (no relation to the owner of Sagebrush, Mary MacGyver).                                                                               

Santa Fe is a wonderful place to live and raise alpacas. Our 10 acre ranch is just 15 miles from the Santa Fe Plaza and only a mile from two experienced alpaca vets. The ranch is in an elegant ranching community - one of the few areas near Santa Fe where there are large horse ranches, spectacular mountain views and easy trail access to thousands of acres for horse riding.  Santa Fe is a unique town - a mixture of cultures, a vibrant arts community, world-class restaurants and still a very grounded outdoor ranch-lifestyle.
